Report Engine, under Analytics, builds reports from a tenant's data and emails them as PDFs, once or on a schedule. Tenant Admins and Tenant Users both open it.

Report types

TypeWhat it covers
Overview ReportEach host's CPU, memory and availability
Disk Utilisation ReportEach host's disks and how full they are
KPI ReportYour transactions: their counts, slow counts and timings

Setting up a report

A report is set up in six steps:

  1. General: the title, a subtitle and the report type.
  2. Schedule: switch on Instant Report for one report over a stretch of time you pick, or choose a frequency from daily to yearly, with its starting point and an Email Schedule for when it is sent.
  3. Data Configuration: the hosts or transactions it covers, its columns and metrics, their order, and whether to Include Recommendations from capacity planning.
  4. Maintenance Window: the maintenance windows to leave out of the figures.
  5. Notifications: the email groups and addresses it goes to.
  6. Preview: the whole report as a PDF, to check before Generate Report sets it going.

Schedule a report walks through it. A report always covers the whole tenant, whatever sources you picked.

Scheduled reports

The Scheduled Report Generator lists every report with its type, its tenant, its recipients and its next run, each Running or Paused. Confirm Pause stops a report's runs until Confirm Resume starts them again.
